The Elite series
Elite, and its two sequels Frontier: Elite II and Frontier: First Encounters, collectively occupy position 2 in my mythical "top 10 games of all time" list. One day, I intend to put some kind of small fan site here. In the meantime, you could visit my old Frontier site from years ago, Anti-Matter Frontier Resources. It's horrendously, embarassingly poor, and outdated (last updated in 1998!), but it does actually have some content, which is more than can be said for this place. Ignore the stuff at the top about the site having moved - the site that it moved to no longer exists! However, I'd recommend checking out some of the links at the bottom of this page instead.

Frontier: Elite 2 on Windows XP - Having trouble getting Fronter: Elite II to run on Windows XP? It's a frequently raised issue on the alt.fan.elite newsgroup, and this file is a post of mine with instructions to success. It's also relevant to Windows 2000, I believe.

Why is it so complicated just to get elite. Then to get it to run, no chance. Ive managed to download and unzip a version(frontier 2) but only got 400k executable program size. so it doesnt work!Ive fiddled with config.sys still not enough mem. I just need a copy of the origanal ELITE game that i can play through windows 98. Does one exist? Any help would be most appreciated.
Thanx. Clive
