Download D3DX DLLs (d3dx9_xx.dll, d3dx10_xx.dll)

Trying to run a recent DirectX application and getting errors about missing DLLs? If you're missing d3dx9_24.dll, d3dx9_25.dll, d3dx9_26.dll, d3dx9_27.dll, d3dx9_28.dll, d3dx9_29.dll, d3dx9_30.dll, d3dx9_31.dll, d3dx9_32.dll, d3dx9_33.dll, d3dx9_34.dll, d3dx9_35.dll, d3dx9_36.dll, D3DX9_37.dll, D3DX9_38.dll, d3dx10_33.dll, d3dx10_34.dll, d3dx10_35.dll, d3dx10_36.dll, d3dx10_37.dll or d3dx10_38.dll (this list sure is getting long! - Ed), you've come to the right place.
Microsoft have made some changes to their practices regarding updates to D3DX (an optional component of DirectX), and these changes have led to end users experiencing missing DLL problems. (I've written at greater length about this phenomenon, but in short: Developers are supposed to install the DLLs as part of the DirectX setup part of their installation. Either they're not, or users are cancelling the DirectX part because they think "I already have DirectX 9!" Anyway...) Because Google seems to like my site, I'm hosting the required files here in that hope that people searching for them will find this page easily.
Please note: The XInput DLLs (xinput1_1.dll, xinput1_2.dll, xinput1_3.dll, and xinput9_1_0.dll) have moved to their own page - the unimaginatively named XInput DLL page.

Download

Please download only the file that the application asks for, to save my bandwidth! Check the error message carefully, because the filenames are quite similar.
All the DLLs are compressed into ZIP archives to save bandwidth. To install a DLL, extract it from its archive, and place it in your C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 folder (or equivalent). If your PC doesn't know what to do with ZIP files, install the free archiving tool 7-zip.
These files are hosted here without permission from Microsoft, and will be removed if anyone important complains.
If you fancy donating a few units of some currency towards my hosting bills, that would be nice! Just click on the PayPal link:

For anyone still having issues with Lost Planet, just put the d3dx9_33.dll or d3dx10_33.dll file in the root directory for Lost Planet (eg. Program Files/Capcom/Lost Planet DX10 Trial). I think you can also put the DLL's in your Windows directory for the same result. Great site, btw!

Great website. Thanks for the resource. Some websites try to charge for these. Your giving them away for free. I'll click on some web links to help your site. Needed d3dx9_33.dll for Lost Planet Dx 9.

Many thanks. I am running Photoshop CS2 under Windows XP SP2. It complains "unable to locate component" which is d3dx9_33.dll and suggesting reinstall the application. When searching Google with "d3dx9_33.dll" your website comes first in the list and it really helps solve the problem.

I also tried visiting the www.dll-downloads.com as mentioned in one of the comments and went to the specific operating system as suggested but couldn't find the required dll.

Paul Roberts, you are my hero today. Cheers.

I'm the web site developer for www.dll-downloads.com and www.dll-downloads.ca. Alike other web sites, my site divides the files into their own Operating System. The user should always select the correct DLL file for they specific operating system, if they don't they could compound the problem even further.
